Ron Davis leads a select team of security industry veterans
with experience in all aspects of manufacturing, marketing, sales and strategic development. They are
noted experts in the industry with valuable insights for growing or starting successful security
companies.
Ron Davis, Managing Partner
Ron Davis founded DMG in 1973 and has been an active and very visible proponent of
management excellence in the alarm industry. Prior to founding DMG, Davis
was general manager of Nightingale-Conant Corporation. He
served as President, then Chairman and CEO of Security Alliance
Corporation, the industry's first conversion franchise group. He went on
to serve in a similar capacity with a company he founded, Security
Associates International, (SAI) Inc. He is a recognized international
speaker who was one of the first professionals to be awarded the CSP
(Certified Speaking Professional) designation by the National Speakers
Association. He is the author of numerous articles and has narrated or
been the principal spokesperson for videotape cassettes and
audiocassettes. His videotape, "A Hundred and One Ways To Win In the
Alarm Industry," is the best selling videotape ever produced in the
security industry. He is widely considered to be one of the most vocal
proponents for excellence in management. Davis is considered an expert in
the area of strategic planning and business development.
Beverly Davis, Vice President of Administration
Beverly Davis has recently rejoined Davis Marketing Group as
Vice President of Administration. One of the firm’s original founders,
Beverly has most recently been associated with Security Associates, as its Director of Human Resources.
Beverly brings to the company a knowledge of the industry and knows how to work with alarm dealers. She is well acquainted with the administration of programs needed to help dealers achieve funding, obtain management and marketing support, as well as assist in DMG's work in buyouts, acquisitions and mergers.
Katie Maahs-Bally, Partner
Katie Maahs-Bally was President of North Shore Security, a company that was acquired by
Alarm Detection Systems of Illinois. It was one of that company's major acquisitions. Katie has worked with Ron Davis in numerous capacities for the last 25 years, most recently as SAI's convention and meeting planning coordinator.
"Katie brings a wealth of practical experience to DMG, and while she technically doesn't qualify as a "Graybeard," she certainly knows what it's like to build a business, prepare it for sale, and then actually go through the selling process. In fact, she is uniquely qualified to help alarm dealers through this process," explained Davis.
In addition to being a Certified Meeting Planner, Katie represents Davis Marketing Group at industry events as a
speaker and consultant in the area of acquisition and mergers.
Dorsie Mosher, Partner
Mr. Mosher has over 25 years experience at senior levels in the
security industry, including bottom line responsibility as president of
four firms. He has participated in taking two security equipment manufacturers public.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mosher's emphasis has been on business development, sales and marketing management, and new products Introduction. While at Radionics in 1981-1988, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, annual sales grew from $6 Million to $44 Million over a period of seven years. After a
ten-year absence from Radionics, Mr. Mosher was asked to return in
January, 1999 as the General Manager and Vice President. During the next
two years in this position, to reestablish customer confidence, Mr. Mosher
successfully rebuilt the sales and technical support departments,
implemented new dealer support programs and redirected the product
development strategy to once again position Radionics as a technology
leader. As a result of this renewal, BOSCH has recently purchased
Radionics and its parent company, Detection Systems. Mr. Mosher has served as board and
committee member for numerous industry groups and speaks at major industry events.
Bruce Amrine, Partner
Mr. Amrine has been a part of the Alarm industry since 1983 when he
and a partner purchased AA Alarms in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The company grew from 80 accounts to approximately 1400 in 1996 when the company was reorganized. After rebuilding the company to about 1300 accounts, Bruce sold it to HSM in a deal facilitated by none other than Ron Davis. Mr. Amrine himself joined the Davis Marketing Group in the fall of 2006..
Steve Berniklau
Mr. Berniklau has been in the industry for over 28 years, and has grown a successful business to over 11,000 installs and nearly 31,000 accounts. As part of his growth strategy, Steve added 14 acquisitions to his company over the years. Steve is a great speaker, a knowledgeable business executive, and knows what its like to meet a payroll year in and year out in the security/alarm industry. His depth of talent and experience add a new dimension to the DMG team. Headquartered in Albuquerque, NM, Steve manages DMG's interests throughout the southwest, and works with other DMG “graybeards” in other areas of the country.

Mr. Romero has been the creative force behind many of the security industry's
most recognizable marketing programs, corporate identities, keypads,
logos and collateral. A veteran Silicon Valley marketer, Art
has honed his marketing and communications skills in the semiconductor, networking
and other high-tech industries. His clients have included
