Comsec Security of Lake Placid, NY Acquired by Mahoney Alarms

June 2007, Long Grove, IL. — Long time industry veteran, Bill Borland, recently sold the assets of Comsec Security in Lake Placid, NY to Mahoney Alarms.  Founded by industry icon, Lee Borland, Comsec was a staple of security businesses in New York.  In recent years, Lee's son, Bill, built the business to even greater dimensions and prepared it for the sale that recently took place.

While the terms of the transaction were not disclosed, Mahoney Alarms has had several other acquisitions in the upper state New York area, and was pleased to welcome the accounts of Borland in to their rapidly growing security family.
Bill has left the business to pursue other interests, but will remain on as a consultant to the company, part time.

The transaction was handled by Ron Davis and Katie Bally of Davis Marketing Group, representing the seller, Comsec Security.
