June 2007, Long Grove, IL. — One of the most reputable and well known companies in the Chicago area was recently acquired by CES. Metronet, the seller, is owned by Jack and Gillian Schultz, well known veterans in the alarm industry. The bulk of the accounts purchased were represented by commercial retail businesses, many of which were located in the Mallers Building, in Chicago. These retailers, for the most part, are jewelers. Jack and Gillian have built up a sizeable business by servicing the needs of this industry in the Chicago area. In acquiring the Metronet business, CES has added substantially to its commercial account business. Jack and Gillian will retain the Metronet name for the business they will continue to operate, a home entertainment, sound and video business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
